Tuesday, 7th

The Barking Murders | BritBox Original, North American Premiere, BritBox Exclusive | 3 X 60

From the award-winning writing team, Jeff Pope (Isolation Stories, A Confession) and Neil McKay (The Suspicion of Mr. Whicher, The Moorside) this three-part drama sheds light on the crimes of Stephen Port (played by Emmy winner Stephen Merchant) who murdered four young gay men in London. The series focuses on the victims’ loved ones, who tirelessly fought to uncover the truth, and the investigation that finally brought a dangerous killer to justice. The Barking Murders goes beneath the headlines to deliver a new perspective on the story, revealing missed opportunities by the police and looking at the devastating impact these crimes had on both the victims’ loved ones and on the wider gay community in London.

After demonstrating their well-meaning ineptitude at the Olympic Deliverance Commission in Twenty Twelve, Ian Fletcher has now joined the British Broadcasting Corporation for BAFTA-winning W1A, a fictional satirical behind-the-scenes series based at the BBC’s London headquarters.
Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey) and Jessica Hynes (There She Goes) return to their roles alongside a new cast and David Tennant (There She Goes) as the narrator.
