Should he or shouldn’t he be permitted to come back? That is the question many Survivor fans are asking themselves after Randen was pulled from the game on Wackadoodles Win. Randen experienced a sharp pain while sleeping and then wasn’t able to feel or use his arm, wrist properly the next day. He even sat out of a challenge because of his condition. Survivor medical decided that he needed to go get tests done to see if the nerve damage would go away on its own like most does or whether he needed surgery to correct it. At least that’s what they thought was happening to Randen without a proper diagnosis.
In other Survivor franchises players have left the game for medical treatment and have returned to the game. Most notably Australian Survivor’s ‘King’ George Mladenov suffered a head injury during a challenge. He left the game to receive some stitches and returned to the game afterwards while Jackie Glazier suffered a broken collar bone so she was removed from the game. You can check out video of how the injuries occurred here.
There is an argument to be made that if Randen’s condition is just a tweaked nerve that he should be permitted to come back. I wouldn’t be opposed to that depending on how much of the game he missed. But, it appears the producers aren’t willing to take that chance and it would spoil the “Bhanu miracle” narrative that they have spun anyway.
On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

It is never good to see a player leave under such circumstances. Randen’s game was just ramping up too.

She is the most influential voice at Yanu. She is the player everyone revolves around at present though Yanu may not exist for much longer. One wonders if a tribal shuffle is in the works.

Liz told us that he isn’t on anyone’s radar at Nami and is safe at the moment because of his survival skills.

As we have been seeing at camp and now at last night’s journey, Ben has a very strong social game. Will that translate into a solid overall game. We will have to see.

He was spared this episode. He is not long for the Survivor game though. We haven’t seen this sloppy and terrible a game in a long, long time. I mean he has even thrown his own allies under the bus to the other tribes.

It must be horrendous to be on the sinking Yanu tribe. By taking their latest loss THAT hard though and even mentioning wanting to be voted out, Q saw his stock sink. He did get up and dust himself off. Will that be enough for Yanu to believe his head is still in the game?

Who’s next to go?

The producers cannot save him forever…or can they?

Losing her only ally was another blow to her already cruddy Survivor game.

We didn’t see much of the tribal politics at Siga las night. We’ll assume Tim is still on the outside looking in.
