Survivor Stock Ticker: Episode Seven

By John Powell – Binge News

Someone give me a good shake. Did I just witness a game of hide and seek on Survivor? Is Jiffy Probst having a hard time filling in those 90 minutes of air time a week? I don ‘t mind seeing the castaways bonding, laughing, entertaining themselves or taking it easy. The Survivor bowling alley, Super Pole 2000, coconut phone, the peanut butter strip tease and so much more were all classic Survivor moments. There needs to be some comedy to counter the high-stakes tension but…an entire game of hide and seek??!?!?! It plays juvenile, like something I would expect to see on Big Brother than Survivor which is not only a cutthroat game but oftentimes a cutthroat experience with storms, floods, the heat, absence of food, water or fire at camp. I think the laugh meter tilted far too much the other way last night.

On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

Wow. That was a bit of a stunner wasn’t it? He went from the penthouse to the outhouse in one episode’s time. Tevin seemed to have the game and the other castaways in the palm of his hand. Publicly crowing at camp that it was YOU who masterminded this or that is probably not a good idea at the best of times. It is definitely not something you want to do as the jury phase nears. It kind of makes you a BIG target even to your current allies.

Charlie has come into his own the last few episodes in that he is getting more involved in the tribal politics with setting off anyone’s Survivor radar. He is playing it safe unlike what Tevin did.

Liz has come out of nowhere to be a strategic force ever since the merge. It remains to be seen though if she has the power and influence to drive that Survivor bus.

With his chaotic gameplay there is no way anyone is going to partner up with Q. Stick a fork in him. He is done. He sabotaged his own Survivor game.

Her game is beginning to unravel. Q is no longer a trusted ally, people know she has an idol and she is on everyone’s radar now.

Who’s next to go?

He will get his wish soon.

He threat level remains quite high but that idol he has may be able to buy him a bit more time than the other folks here have.

Like Q nobody wants to listen to her, breath the same air she is or work with her.

She is completely outgunned and is on her way to becoming Public Enemy Number One.
