Survivor 47 Stock Ticker: Week Two

By John Powell – Binge News

We all know what déjà vu is. We have all experienced it at one time or another in our lives. Where do we NOT want to experience it? On the first two episodes of Survivor. Why does Tuku, Gata and Lavo have the same twist, the same lock box at their beaches? We have now seen the same situation play out three times and it wasn’t that interesting a situation to begin with. This is the problem in expanding Survivor thirty minutes. You will see a lot of fluff, a lot of padding and a lot of repetition.

How was Tuku getting TK out an “epic boss girl move”? One, they just lost their strongest athletic player and we have all seen what happens when a tribe does something as stupid as that. Two, Sue is completely off base. She is incorrect when it comes to the tribal politics and should know that because she is allied with GABE. It isn’t male versus female at Tuku. Not only is Gabe teamed up with Sue and Caroline but TK and Kyle were aligned with Tiyana until TK imploded his game. So, Sue is beating a war drum for a conflict that doesn’t exist.

On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

Nobody like a boss and nobody likes to be bossed around. Adding to TK stomping on everyone’s toes was Sue’s hyper sensitivity and perhaps massive mistrust of those of the male persuasion. Forget about Andy, TK was a bomb waiting to explode at Tuku.

Anika is proving to be quite flexible in her Survivor game. She is treading the line at Gata really well and seems to be consolidating power around herself.

Gabe is following the same path as Anika. He has that natural ability to be compassionate and very persuasive.

Sam is making all the right moves at the right time. His rise might be too good to be true though with Anika elevating herself. Could their be a civil war brewing?

Andy doesn’t really appear to be cut out for the game of Survivor. The game requires very strong social skills. As we have seen Andy is lacking in those to some degree. Can he bounce back? That remains to be seen.

He is too much for everyone’s good. He is irritating his own tribemates. Even though he does well athletically they might just be willing to throw him overboard to preserve their own sanity.

Although he is a decent guy he just lost his biggest ally in TK. He could be the next easy out.

Who’s next to go?

If he isn’t able to pivot and alter the awful impression he has made he is done.

He keeps digging his own burial plot. He needs to reign himself in but big radio personalities like that usually cannot. It is a part of them.
