Survivor is a game of numbers with people you can trust. You can never predict those people you can trust. They can be people you lots in common with. They can be people you don’t. They can be people who share both geography and culture with. They can be people you don’t. They can be people you share life perspectives with. They can be people you don’t. Why then would you limit in your trust pool? More importantly, why would you place your trust in people you share a few traits with?
I am not a fan of and would never play the way Christine “Teeny” Chirichillo wants to play the game. Why would anyone at the merge when they have people they have almost complete faith in, people they have known a lot longer than her? When you are so close to the end, when only 10 people stand in your way of making the final tribal council why would you throw your entire social game away unless of course you have to because you are at the bottom of a alliance totem pole like Andy found out?
Success at Survivor isn’t about rolling the dice on strangers. That strategy rarely pays off. It is about finding those people you can completely trust and they have complete trust in you.
On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

Nobody could have predicted tonight’s boot with all those shenanigans going on. It was thrilling to see the person who plotted the blindside get blindsided. Tiyana obviously thought her social game was stronger than it actually was. When it comes to Gabe, Sue, Caroline and Kyle were all in.

For the second week in a row he is making moves and gaining more confidence. There is something very curious and special very about him teaming up with Genevieve. Could they become Survivor’s version of the Island of the Lost Toys picking up other strays and outcasts as they move ahead. It is an interesting thought that.

Gabe won the Tuku civil war but at what cost? It was revealed for all to see that he has Kyle and Sue eating out of his hands. It may have painted a massive target on his back.

Her reasoning for flipping on her Lavo mates isn’t bright gameplay. The fact that she is willing to just stab them in the back like that shows she really has no loyalty and that doesn’t play well in the Survivor end game.

Andy has turned his back on him. He wants revenge on Sam. He has lost an ally. Andy and Genevieve could be the start of something big that turns around and bites back at Sam.

Who’s next to go?

If the idea is for Gata and Lavo to team up against Tuku he without a doubt would be their first target based on how the votes went down at tribal council tonight. They would have to know that he is the biggest threat. It is hard to know where the chips will fall though after tonight’s episode.
