Survivor Stock Ticker: Episode Eight

By John Powell – Binge News

At last the lines have been drawn in the sand. It is Tuku and Lavo teaming up against Gata. Everyone can thank Andy and Genevieve for putting in the work to bridge the gap and form that alliance. If everyone can stay on the same page one would expect that at least for now Gata has been got. Once that happens Tuku is in the driver’s seat unless Sol is able to pull Rachel over to Lavo since he has done so much for her. Maybe he kindness will pay dividends in the final phase of the game?

The issue for Andy and Genevieve is that everyone knows they rallied the troops and Sam is still in the game. It very much looks like Sam is going to pull the pin and blow up people’s games, especially Andy’s. That could damage the trust Andy has built. Sam may still be the target but he may take down a lot of people before Jeff Probst snuffs his torch. He seems like the kind of guy who would enact a scorched Earth plan if he knew his goose is cooked, as it is.

The balance of power has shifted at Beka. What remains to be seen is if the tribal politics continue on their current course or are they disrupted. With these players I am willing to bet that the divisions remain as they are.

On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

Her bond with Sam was a massive stumbling block for her. It cast a shadow across her game since the very start. Whether romantic or not they were seen as a power couple who needed to be broken up and a threat once the tribes merged. She could never shake that impression no matter what she did or how she played.

He led the charge and was essentially the one who pulled the rug right out from under Sam and Sierra. With the help of Genevieve, of course. He has gained confidence but will that be tempered by the others knowing he cannot be trusted because he turned on his close allies so easily?

She certainly has a lot of influence with the others. Is she tipping her hat though as to how much of a risk it is to keep her around?

Yes, she is being led by the nose to some extent by Gabe she is also proving herself to be a threat not only socially but in various challenges. In particular, her social game may be stronger than the edit is letting on.

He has won a lot of challenges. The others know that and wanted to target him before the plan changed.

He is not much of a clear and present danger now that Sierra is gone. He is an easy out though especially of they suspect Rachel has an idol. They might not though considering that she played her Shot in the Dark during the last tribal. If they do target Rachel next someone may very well catch a stray bullet at tribal becoming the victim of her idol play.

Who’s next to go?

If the idea is for Gata and Lavo to team up against Tuku he without a doubt would be their first target based on how the votes went down at tribal council tonight. They would have to know that he is the biggest threat. It is hard to know where the chips will fall though after tonight’s episode.
