Survivor Stock Ticker Episode 11

By John Powell – Binge News

Remember when challenge beasts like ‘Boston’ Rob, Ozzy, Joe, Spencer and Colby were the core person to form an alliance around? That pivotal person who could take a tribe or an alliance far into the game? Why have these players fallen out of favour with New Era players? They are feared because overall the New Era players are pretty awful at challenges. There is a big difference between watching them and Old School Survivor players compete in challenges that aren’t puzzles.

Remember when they would basically play basketball against each other? Remember when they used to battle to knock each other off that platform? Remember when carry those weights, be locked to each other and would try to chase down the opposing team while treading through water? One suspects that those challenges are gone because athleticism in its various forms from wrestler John Morrison, fighter pilot Hunter Ellis to hiking guide Amanda Kimmel, yoga teacher Parvati Shallow and river guide Kelly Wiglesworth, is clearly not a priority for casting as much as it used to be.

Another episode and another alliance springs up. More accurately an alliance made up of hangers-on who want to get rid of the threats. It still appears to me that Sam’s group will remain solid as they all want the same thing for now no matter what they are telling the others.

On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

Unfortunately, New Era players across the board are not very good at challenges. In fact, sometimes watching them bumble through a really physical challenge can be so difficult to watch. Kyle won far too many challenges and New Era as a whole isn’t confident when it comes to competing against anyone who has won more than one challenge.

The Rachel winner’s narrative is in full swing. It is being pushed very hard. So hard that if she doesn’t win this season it will be a shocker.

With this episode we witnessed why Sue should make it to the final tribal. Everyone confides in her, nobody takes her as a serious threat and she isn’t on anyone’s radar.

She is just lucky there have been bigger targets than her. She has next to no allies any longer. Her game is winding down.

Sue may forgive but she doesn’t forget. Just like the Kyle vote Sue might exert her influence here.

Who’s next to go?

The way the tribal politics are moving and evolving it is toss-up between either Genevieve or Caroline. One thinks playing so scared as they are these players might fall for Genevieve’s ruse of a fake idol and take out the next best person which would be Caroline.
