Survivor 48 Stock Ticker Episode 2

By John Powell – Binge News

She looked like a goner but our favourite substance abuse counselor from Philadelphia on season 48 of Survivor has managed to dodge the axe…at least for this week. The bigger concern is the puny, feeble Vula cannot win a challenge to save their own hides.

To Stephanie Berger’s point though, Vula just doesn’t have any physical strength. I am just over the moon in anticipation of Vula’s demise and the tribes being shuffled into two. I, personally, prefer that start to the game for so many reasons including it makes for a better, more competitive game in the long-run.

Having three tribes jump-starts the game, however, you end up with situations like are seeing now, with tribes and alliances whittled down so quickly that all the work the survivors of the Pagonging put into the game is more times than not pointless.

Starting with three tribes also exposes the aggressive players. They have no room to maneuver, no room to work their magic. They and their strategic moves are laid bare for all to see. Eliminating those players so early on hurts the gameplay going forward as those are the people who are willing to take risks and cause drama.

Trust is even more important in a three tribe set-up as we saw this week. Kevin was thrown overboard because his own allies lost faith in him. Justin figured out that Kevin was the swing vote and wasn’t “thinking about Day Five or Day Six but Day 26”. Vula sent one of their best challenge beasts to Ponderosa pretty much insuring their own demise? We shall see. Stay Tuned.

On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

He played too hard, too fast and the other tribemates saw he was playing the middle.

Everyone at Lagi sees him as a solid ally, want to hitch their wagons to him. That is causing him to have a crisis of conscience though. If he can reconcile those feelings he could have a long run to the end.

Everyone at Vula trust his opinion, view him as a loyal person. Will his alliance with Sai sink him or carry him forward?

Shauhin refused to do Star ‘dirty’. He also recognizes Thomas for the scheming threat that he is. He has a lot of influence at Lagi.

Slowly but surely his devious mindset is being uncovered, exposed.

His alliance with Charity is the anchor which might eventually pull his game underwater.

Who’s next to go?

Vula

The way the tribal politics shake out she is expendable at this point.

Lagi

Although everyone is at odds with Star for some reason I think it will be Thomas who is exposed as a snake.

Civa

As we have heard so many times now, the others think she is playing too hard and they don’t trust her.
