And this is why the three tribe concept may ignite the drama but it doesn’t improve the actual game of Survivor. It is often the case that one of those tribes is decimated to the point that there is a tribal switcheroo and during that swap there are players who become victims of the numbers game. Imagine not only having your tribe annihilated but sent to another tribe you are summarily picked off or worse you become a victim of a swap because of the failures of another tribe. I have to say, no matter what their gameplay was previously, my heart goes out to those who see their games end this way. It just seems wrong on every level but here we are…
The new Survivor 49 tribes are:
Hina

The former Uli will be calling the shots and now that they have pulled in Sophi, it doesn’t take a fortune teller to predict who is next to go.
Kele

The former Hina members hold the balance of power and with Alex joining them it also is pretty clear who is on the chopping block. It is either Shannon or Sage.
I would guess that “one castaway’s scheming” below could be Shannon. We heard comments on the last episode that Shannon using her faith as a tool to form bonds wasn’t appreciated by some at the new Kele.
As we await the merger, it would seem the former Uli would have five members plus Sophi and the former Hina has four, five if they pull in Alex. I have a feeling though that Alex would go wherever Sophi goes when we sees the lay of the land meaning MC, Kristin, Sophie and Steven are all fish bait.

Next Time On Survivor: “I’m a Wolf, Baby” – One castaway’s scheming gets them into hot water when their tribe realizes the same conversation has been repeated to each of them. Two castaways are sent on a grueling journey. Then, one castaway’s series of missteps leaves one of their tribemates hungry for revenge.
On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

He got squeezed out due to the tribal switcheroo but one gets the feeling he wasn’t long for the game anyhow.

She has secured new allies and more time in the game to figure out how to move forward.

There were many comments last episode that he was either the brains behind Uli or at least a member of the tribe that is very authoritative.

She is playing more aggressively and that hasn’t gone unnoticed by members of her own tribe.

Who’s next to go?
Kele

Word is that Alex and Sophi will integrate well into their new tribes so not much will change in the pecking order it appears. Shannon is just too scattered to be kept around.
Hina

He is the odd man out and hasn’t worked his way into the old Uli alliance as Sophi did.
