Something really odd is happening with this season of Survivor. Savannah, Rizo and Sophi were clearly outnumbered by the others and last week’s vote should have been a cake walk.
Alex going home and Sophie seemingly jumping to their side has shifted the tribal politics in their favour and with the advantages the Uli trio has they should be able to dominate tribal council going forward. The balance of power has really shifted…the others just don’t know it yet. It is four versus four but the trio have those advantages up their sleeves.
Why have the others continued to take out their own? Alex has a theory.
“I think ultimately it comes down to people wanted to be liked by Rizo and Savannah. They were seen as these leaders which, to me, is like, all right, let’s get them out!…Jawan just had this relationship with Rizo from the beginning and it was that’s what ultimately he decided to side with. So, Do I think it was the right decision? No, of course not,” he told me.
He also said this about Rizo’s ability to Jedi Mind Trick the others: “It was just so shocking to me that Jawan could go from saying: ‘I don’t trust this guy!’ to buying every single word that he said about me. It’s like: ‘Jawan, we’ve were able to work together on the Nate vote. We were in an alliance together. Why we were in an alliance?’. Like everyone who was on the Nate vote wasn’t an alliance together so as soon as we got out, as soon as they got out, MC I were like: ‘Oh no, this is falling apart.’ Why didn’t people just want to stick to the numbers? It didn’t make sense to me. It was seven versus three and they just were continuing to eat our own and so I was shocked that they were buying whatever Rizo was selling.”

Tonight we will see:

Next Time On Survivor: “Huge Dose of Bamboozle” – The fatiguing nature of the game is highlighted as some castaways hit their personal breaking points. Following tribal, one castaway is left visibly shaken after being left out of the vote. Then, an epic blindside takes place at tribal council, leaving some players spinning.”
The castaway being “left out of the vote” is either Stephen of Kristina as they were the only ones to vote for Rizo or Sophi besides Alex who was sent home. Who could the blindside be? I would assume the shocking moment at tribal would be Sophi using her “steal an idol” power on Kristina.
On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

He got caught playing the middle. Rizo fueled that fear in the others well to the point that they took out one of their own.

Rizo is schooling the others in the game of Survivor. He has dominated the last few episodes, really taking control of the game after stepping out from the shadows.

She made the right move to bolster her status in the game. She is at the bottom of the alliance but she has bought herself some safety.

…the other side of the coin for Sophie is that she has come close to winning immunity so many times. This might make her a target in the eyes of the trio if they feel she might flip on them.

Who’s next to go?

His aggressive gameplay last episode showed he cannot be trusted, could flip at any moment and solidified his status as a target with Rizo, Savannah and Sofi.
