Skarsgard, Wolff round out Stephen King’s The Stand

Another Stephen King epic is getting a new treatment this time courtesy of the CBS All Access streaming service.

CBS has revealed that Nat Wolff (Stella’s Last Weekend) and Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood and The Little Drummer Girl) will be joining James Marsden, Amber Heard, Odessa Young, Jovan Adepo, Owen Teague, Henry Zaga, Brad William Henke and Whoopi Goldberg in the production of The Stand.

Skarsgård will be playing The Stand’s villain Randall Flagg. Wolff will be his lackey Lloyd Henreid.

King’s apocalyptic opus was made into a TV mini-series in 1994 starring Gary Sinise, Molly Ringwald, Laura San Giacomo, Miguel Ferrer and Ossie Davis.

King himself will be writing a segment for the series adding a new ending.

The production is currently filming in Vancouver.
