An industry analyst is warning Netflix to adjust its pricing or it could begin losing subscribers.
Needham analyst Laura Martin claims that if Netflix doesn’t lower its prices it will lose 5 million to 10 million of its subscribers in 2020.
Martin also says Needham quizzed current Netflix subscribers and 10 percent to 30 per cent were willing to drop Netflix for another streaming service.
Martin says Netflix is out of step with other competing services like Apple ($4.99 a month), Disney+ ($7.00 a month) or CBS All Access ($6.00 a month).
Martin is advising Netflix to scale back to a $6 a month service that would include advertising.
