Disney+ hasn’t even been up and running for two months and already movies are vanishing from the service without warning.
Subscribers have noticed that the films Dr. Dolittle, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Home Alone, Home Alone 2 and The Sandlot are no longer available.
This is strange considering all of the other Pirates of the Caribbean movies are available as well as Home Alone 3 making viewing an entire series impossible.
In 2019, The Shaggy Dog and Garfield 2: A Tail of Two Kitties left the service without the usual notice that most streaming services give their customers by releasing a list of what’s leaving their service so that viewers can schedule to watch those shows or movies before they leave.
It has been reported that the movies are being pulled possibly because of legacy rights deals Disney has with other companies and that they might return when those deals expire.
