Amazon is trying to make coronavirus quarantines a bit more tolerable in Italy.
Citizens who are being locked down in various regions of Italy will be able to access Amazon Prime Video free of charge until March 31st.
The regions are the Lombardy Region and of the provinces of Modena, Parma, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Rimini, Pesaro Urbino, Alessandria, Asti, Vercelli, Novara, Verbano Cusio Ossola, Padua, Treviso and Venice.
There is nothing special residents have to do but sign in.
The number of confirmed infections in Italy has reached 9,172 people and has hit every single region. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has told citizens to stay home and if they wish to travel, they will have to seek special permission. All schools, colleges, universities are closed and all sporting events have been cancelled.
The new quarantine measures are in place until April 3rd and apply to the regions of the restrictions applies to Lombardy and 14 other provinces. It is not clear that now the entire country is on a lockdown whether Italy as a country will have free access to Prime Video.
