Stephen King has been dethroned.
Hulu announced today that the Stephen King inspired series Castle Rock will not be coming back for a third season.
There are no plans in the works for Warner Bros TV, the producers of the series, to be continuing the show on HBO Max at the present time either.
The anthology series took place in Stephen King’s fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine and featured characters and Easter eggs from his books and short stories. For example, in the second season Lizzy Caplan starred as Annie Wilkes from Misery and Paul Sparks was John “Ace” Merrill who was originally played by Kiefer Sutherland in the film Stand by Me.
