Disney+ reveals upcoming Star Wars, Marvel shows

When it comes to new content Disney+ doesn’t have much to choose from especially from their Marvel and Star Wars brands.

At their 2020 Investors Day event, Disney wanted to set subscribers’ and investors’ minds at ease and revealed what they are working on for the future.

As well as a $1 price hike here is what you can expect to see on Disney Plus.

Ahsoka Tano, the popular Star Wars Clone Wars and Rebels character, gets her own series starring Rosario Dawson. Dawson also played the character in a recent episode of the The Mandalorian. Jon Favreau of The Mandalorian will produce the series about Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice long before he became Darth Vader.


Tagged as a spy thriller the series stars Diego Luna as Cassian Andor from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

The Bad Batch

The bad ass clones from the Clone Wars series get their own series.

Star Wars: Visions

Anime creators take a stab at creating some short Star Wars films.

Rangers of the new Republic

Mandalorian’s Jon Favreau produces this series about the turmoil during The Mandalorian era.


The adventures of space pirate and scoundrel Lando Calrissian are presented by creator Justin Simien.

The Acolyte

Explores the inner workings of the Dark Side. Leslye Headland of Russian Doll fame heads this series.

A Droid Story

R2-D2, C-3PO and a new hero star in this Disney+ Star Wars film.

Joining the already announced Hawkeye, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki and What if…? are:


Tatiana Maslany from Orphan Black is the title hero who must balance her adventures as a super-powered hero with her time as a lawyer. The series will have appearances by Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) and The Abomination (Tim Roth).

I Am Groot

The wooden alien stars in his own series of shorts.

Moon Knight

The free-wheeling adventurer who lives with multiple identities battles crime on the streets while trying to understand his link to ancient Egypt.

Secret Invasion

The Marvel Comics event gets it own series on Disney+. Samuel L. Jackson returns as Nick Fury who is investigating an intricate scheme by the alien Skrulls to invade Earth.


The unpopular Iron Man copycat Riri Williams will be played by Dominique Thorne. A genius teenager rips off Tony Stark’s designs to create her own high-tech armour.

Armor Wars

Another iconic Marvel Comics storyline seems to have been altered. Don Cheadle reprises his role as War Machine in a story that should be focused on Tony Stark and Iron Man. Stark’s armoured foes combine forces to destroy Star Enterprises.

Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special

Directed and written by James Gunn, the creative force behind the Guardian of the Galaxy movies.

Ms. Marvel

The Marvel Comic book character and core character of the much maligned Marvel Avengers video game is played by Iman Vellani. The Pakistani-American teenager not only enjoys writing superhero fan fiction but also has powers of her own. Think Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four.
