The merge is finally here and now we have a better lay of the land…or do we? So many game decisions are being made via the heart and not the head this season. Players strategizing based on personal feuds or feelings rather than choices that will allow them to progress in the game.
Last episode, we had everyone voting for Charity except Sai, David, Eva, Mitch and Shauhin. Sai was so completely off-base voting for Cedrek we can assume that nobody was letting her in on their plans. Her spider sense must be tingling at an all-time high now after that vote.
Going against the grain it was great to see the Muscles ‘R’ Us alliance of David, Joe, Eva, Kyle and Shauhin forming. Like them, I am tired of those who could be potentially good at challenges being targeted at every New Era merge by the less confident players. Muscles ‘R’ Us still don’t have the numbers to fully control the game though so they will have to work with others. Next week’s double tribal council will throw a wrench in any plans they have.
“It’s double trouble when an unforeseen twist puts pressure on the castaways during the immunity challenge. Then, there’s nowhere to hide when a pivotal tribal council takes shape and decides who will make the jury.”
Press photos for next week’s episode show that the tribe will be split into two teams:

The teams are:
Star, Eva, Joe, Mitch, Sai and Chrissy on one side.
Cedrek, Mary, Shauhin, Kamilla, David and Kyle on the other.
More on that breakdown and the predicted exits below.
Speaking to Charity this week, she focused on her ‘Jim Halpert’ edit.
She blamed Kamilla for planting the seed that she was untrustworthy:
I’ll tell you exactly where that came from and her name is Kamilla and she’s so smart. Kamilla planted the seed and all it takes is one seed and everybody will water it, whether there is proof or not because that gives everyone else more security in the game, right? If we can dog on this person or get this person to look untrustworthy that makes me more trustworthy, that takes a target off my back. So, I totally get it. I shared with Kamilla…not that I doubted Kyle was not being honest, I am just a person where I do not take everyone at face value.
On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

She couldn’t ditch the perception that she was untrustworthy and her natural personality, including being an open book probably hurt her social game.

She has rebounded in the game. Not only is she part of the major decisions but the other players are actually confiding in her.

Speaking of rebounding, we are finally seeing Star play the game. Her strong social skills are really coming to the forefront.

The way she has been so public and bold about her gameplay isn’t gaining her any fans. It is just making the target bigger and bigger.

His stock has finally begun to tank. The other players are becoming more wary of his emotional and chaotic nature. Nobody wants that kind of player around in such an important phase of the game.

Who’s next to go?
We know there will be two tribal councils next episode which will clear the deck.
A Team: Star, Eva, Joe, Mitch, Sai and Chrissy.

Chrissy would be the logical exit here. In that group, only Mitch is on her side and I don’t think he would put his neck on the line to save her.
B-Team: Cedrek, Mary, Shauhin, Kamilla, David and Kyle.

Of this group, Cedrek is the one who doesn’t fit in as I don’t think Mary will endanger her current status to protect him.
