Double Trouble: No One Is Safe in New Pairs Twist?
“One of the biggest twists in Survivor history,” claims the promos for the next episode: Double the Fun, Double the Demise. This twist might be taken from the French version of Survivor who have dropped in a “shared destiny” twist many times.
Since the tribes are divided into pairs it is safe to assume the fate of each pair is intertwined going into the Immunity Challenge and Tribal Council too in the sense that a pair wins Immunity together and if one person is voted off, both people are at Tribal Council.
The rumored pairs could be:
Ozzy and Stephenie
Coach and Chrissy
Christian and Jonathan
Joe and Tiffany
Rick and Aubry
Rizo and Emily
This would leave Cirie on her own if nobody wants to align with her on a challenge…and let’s face it, who would? What happens to her? No idea.
What is the “theatrical risk taken” at tribal in the promo? Probably Devens and Christian using the fake idol which puts a target on them both going forward.
Looking at the tribal politics going on, I asked Dee about the “floaters” comment she made at Tribal Council, here is what she said to me:
Dee Valladares: From my perspective, in that moment, the floaters were absolutely Rizo, Ciri, Ozzy but more Christian, Rick, and Emily, right? Because from the other side, you know they’re going to stick together. Stephanie, Chrissy, Joe and Coach, they’re going to stick together. The people in the middle can go either way, right? So those are the people that are dangerous because you don’t know which way they’ll go.
I also asked her, what she is looking for in a winner as a jury member. She answered:
I think for me when you get to the end, it turns to the jury. The jury now gets to decide who do we want to represent this season. For me, that played a big role. Who can represent the season the best? Who played hard but also had their full-circle moments…You might be able to be a good representative but then you shut down at Tribal and that’s very possible. To me, something that really mattered was: Who can represent 50 seasons of Survivor? I think everyone was worthy of being there but I don’t know if everyone could represent. If that makes sense.

Here is what we will see on this week’s episode:

“Double the Fun, Double the Demise” – A boat arrives and the tribe is asked to divide into pairs. This week’s immunity challenge features one of the biggest twists ever seen in SURVIVOR history. Then, Wha at tribal council must be enough to cast doubt upon those on the chopping block.
And in case you missed it, CBS has announced the live Survivor 50 finale will be broadcast on Wednesday, May 20 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).
On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

According to Dee herself, the blow-up with Jonathan didn’t really play a part in her demise. She was already being targeted long before that. She shattered Rizo’s and Cirie’s trust at the same time.

Rizo continues to maneuver around all of these players and relationships with ease.

With his stock rapidly dropping we could see his Horsemen scatter to the wind leaving him along to face his destiny.

Who’s next to go?

Coach is the target but the others get to take out two people in that alliance leaving Stephanie and Joe to fend for themselves.
