Endgame Math, Double Trouble at Tribal?
There are two regular episodes and the finale of Survivor 50 left to air and nine Survivors are still in the game. The math isn’t mathing for a lot of folks. The number of players remaining in the game during a Survivor finale can range anywhere from four to even six players.
It is appears that we will have six players still vying for the two million dollars and the title of Sole Survivor on the season finale. If so, there are three people to get rid of which means there will be a double eviction episode coming this week. Two Survivors are heading off to Ponderosa.
That is probably what the “a shocking incident takes place at this week’s immunity challenge” means in this week’s preview. I am going with two people voted out at Tribal Council this week as the balancing challenge doesn’t look like something someone could be severely injured participating in but you never know.
When I spoke to Stephenie last week, the most interesting thing to me is how she criticized how Joe is playing the game. She even spoke about calling him up and having a chat with him about it.
She said:
Well, Joe went and told Cirie the whole plan. I’m not convinced that Joe’s not trying to play both sides at this point. Joe, when I told him about the Steal-a-Vote, also you didn’t see that, Joe was so mad that I didn’t tell him sooner and I just think he couldn’t get over that. Which, Jonathan handled it fine. Jonathan was like, “Okay, so let’s use it.”
I told Cirie Day 1 and she talked me out of telling anybody. She made a good point because everybody knows everything around here. So I was waiting for the right time to tell you and I fully intended on telling you. Today’s the day. Maybe we can use it. I said the same thing to Joe and Joe got super emotional about it and bent out of shape. Joe just, I guess, never got over it.
Joe goes and tells Cirie, “Me and Jonathan want to get out her number one, Ozzy.” And this isn’t the first time Joe’s done that. Joe, when Coach and Chrissy went, and we had no idea that Cirie was the one that came up with that plan, Cirie told Joe the plan, and Joe never even came and told us.
So this isn’t the first time. This is now the second time. So now I’m wondering: Is Joe trying to play both sides and not, like, really with Jonathan? Because maybe you’re not with me and that’s okay, you’re not going to hurt my feelings, but you’re definitely supposed to be like Jonathan’s number one, right? They think they’re together. So what’s going on here, Joe?
She then said:
There’s ten of us left still and we talked about all of this before the game. So that was really surprising to me. And also Joe. I mean, Joe is really the reason I went last night, because if Joe didn’t tell Cirie we may have been able to pull off the Ozzy vote. Then we could have dealt with Cirie later but because Joe immediately went and told Cirie, the whole plan flipped on me…When Joe knew about the Coach and Chrissy situation, I actually called him. And I was like, “Joe,” because that’s the first time I saw of it. I go, “Oh, my god! Cirie told you the whole plan in the hammock! What were you thinking?” Because at this point it was supposed to be, he even said it, I said, “I’m with Jonathan and Joe, myself, and I think Cirie and Ozzy, so that’s five.” Cirie is like, “No, no, we gotta go Coach and Chrissy.” He’s like, “No, I want Devens. This is our chance, kill two birds with one stone.”
Why would he immediately not come and tell us? So I called him. You know what he said? He said, “I didn’t know.” I go, “It aired on television! What do you mean you didn’t know?” He’s like, “Oh, well, I didn’t trust you.” I’m like, “Why?” I’m like, “You don’t know about the Steal-A-Vote yet. That’s next week, Joe.” It was lack of communication. Survivor is all about communication.
I love Joe. He was my favorite on 48. I couldn’t wait to play with a guy like him. He’s like a Tom Westman to me. He’s like a Colby (Donaldson) to me. I’m like, “Oh, this is a great guy, would love to play with.” I’m a loyal person. Like, “Let’s go.”

Here is what we will see on this week’s episode:

“Everyone Will Be Shooketh!” – Castaways find themselves on both a literal and figurative island after their return from what is regarded as one of the “craziest tribals of all time.” Castaways reflect on their letters from home and the family members that have impacted them. Then, a shocking incident takes place at this week’s immunity challenge, on SURVIVOR 50.
On with this week’s Survivor Stock Ticker:

She made a mistake in trusting people like Joe and Cirie…and she was a massive threat to win.

She influenced the vote in a big way, especially when she discovered it was Ozzy who was being targeted.

It wasn’t the fact that he flipped a coin. It was the fact that he turned everything upside down at Tribal Council and made many backpedal.

His play at Tribal has definitely made him the biggest target in the game, bar none. Not necessarily because he outplayed them all, although that is part of it. Deven is a chaotic force and nobody this close to the end of the game wants that factor around.

Who’s next to go?

His scorch the Earth gameplay will come back to haunt him this week.

It is the time in the game when you get rid of the jury threats and the game threats. Her time is now.
