Premiere Tries Too Hard to Prove Fans Wrong
The Survivor 51 premiere can be described in one word: Extra. There was so much yelling. There was so much screaming. There was so many overblown reactions to the point it is as if everyone had six Espresso shots before heading off to the island. It was so production-heavy too like the confetti or whatever that was pouring out of the bucket during the challenge that wasn’t necessary.
At 51 seasons in, you would think such an amazing, enthralling concept of Survivor wouldn’t be trying so hard to impress everyone especially coming off of one of the best seasons it has ever had from start to finish. Episode One: “Permanent Uncertainty” was like that guy you know who laughs too hard at everyone’s jokes or that gal who name drops at every single party. The show was performing rather than simply behaving naturally.
Executive producer Jeff Probst also took the time to take a swipe at fans, viewers. For the longest time, fans have argued whether there were too many twists, too many xxx. For many fans, want Survivor to return to its roots, to return to the old school style of gameplay. They don’t won’t a million advantages, twists, etc. To somehow prove them wrong, Probst asked the players on last night’s show if they wanted making fire, etc, etc, to be removed from the game.
Naturally all or most of the players voted to keep all of those things. I mean, who wouldn’t? It is like your boss calling you into their office asking you what you hate, like about your job. Of course, you are going to tell them what they want to hear. Of course, you are going to take out that spade and shovel some shit. Were any of the Survivors going to tell Probst they didn’t like his additions to the game? They all know he is the executive producer. So, in the end, the entire segment was preformative and proved nothing.

“Weaponized Honesty” – A chilling injury at camp threatens to send one player home. Two tribes face off in a daunting immunity challenge at sea where one tribe struggles to keep afloat. Then, tribal council takes a wild turn when one player attempts a never-before-seen move to save an ally.”

Loose links sink ships and she played too hard out of the gate targeting someone so openly She would have done better to sit back…and relax. Let others steer the ship for now until you learn who to trust.
At the start, she comes off as very clever, very in tune with what is happening in her tribe but will that continue as the game progresses?
Like Ana, his decisions, comments have been reserved, measured and concise.
Him being so BIG on the episode could go for or against him. He could be kept around as a huge shield or he could be booted because he is so distracting, so irritating to some.
Talk about playing aggressively, he is just all over the place, like Jiffy Probst is during a challenge nowadays. He is making himself into a gigantic target. He might think he is the next Tony but I say he isn’t long for the game.

I have a funny feeling that we are going to be dealing with three tribes by the end of the episode but…

It is too early to make a decent analysis but she doesn’t seem to be gelling as well as others are.
