Misty Knight almost got a little misty when she was told the fate of the Luke Cage Netflix series.
Simone Missick, who played Detective Misty Knight in Luke Cage and The Defenders, told Badtaste.it that she was on the set of the CBS All Access series called Tell Me A Story when she received the cancellation news.
She had thought she was receiving news about a Daughters of the Dragon series from Jeph Loeb, the Executive Vice President of Marvel Television.
“It was the best place to receive the worst news of my life. I could cry ugly and no one would know because someone would have been there to retouch my makeup but I didn’t cry. It was surreal,” she said.
Missick confirmed that she would be willing to take on the role again in a different setting, a different series.
