Marvel fans may have noticed that the Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland are not available on the streaming service.
The Hollywood Reporter’s Adam Crouch reports that Disney is pursuing the license with Sony which makes sense since Sony is pulling the plug on their streaming service, Vu.
At present, Starz has the rights to air those Spider-Man movies as per their deal with Sony.
The Tom Holland Spider-Man movies are not the only films missing from the Marvel library on Disney. The films below won’t be available to stream on Disney+ until the 2020 date that is indicated below due to Disney’s current deal with Netflix.
- Ant-Man and the Wasp – 29 July 2020
- Avengers: Infinity War – 25 June 2020
- Black Panther – 4 March 2020
- Thor Ragnarok – 5 December 2019
