It has already been renewed for a second season and now Amazon Prime Video’s Lord Of The Rings series has added another star to its cast.
According to Deadline, Ema Horvath (The Mortuary Collection) will be joining Will Poulter (The Maze Runner, Midsommer, Black Mirror), Joseph Mawle (Benjen Stark in Game of Thrones) and Markella Kavenagh (Picnic at Hanging Rock) in the series. Mawle will be a villain known as Oren.
The show will be set in the Second Age of Middle-Earth revealing what happened before The Fellowship of the Ring and will be filmed in New Zealand where Peter Jackson shot his classic, epic films. Jackson will not be involved in this series.
Deadline says the show will go on a hiatus for approximately four months after filming the first two episodes directed by J.A. Bayona. Bayona directed Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and The Orphanage.
There is no premiere date set as the series is still in pre-production.
