Disney+ creating Turner & Hooch series

Everything old is new again as another eighties/nineties film is getting a revamp on Disney+.

The Tom Hanks 1989 movie Turner & Hooch is being made into a television series according to Deadline.

In the original comedy, a 33-year-old Hanks played Scott Turner a police detective who adopts a dog named Hooch, the only witness to a murder he is investigating. Turner and Hooch become unlikely and reluctant partners of sorts as they track down the killer.

The new show will be produced by Burn Notice creator Matt Nix which could signal it might have a more serious tone to it.

No premiere date has been announced for the series.
