The horror franchise I Know What You Did Last Summer is getting its own Amazon Prime show.
The series will follow the same story presented in the novel and the original film. Amazon is calling the series “a modern take” and filming begins in Hawaii in a few weeks.
Amazon describes the series as: “In a town full of secrets, a group of teenagers are stalked by a mysterious killer a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night.”
The original I Know What You Did Last Summer film came out in 1997 and was followed by two lackluster sequels in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer.
The new cast includes Madison Iseman (Jumanji: The Next Level), Brianne Tju (Light as a Feather), Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping), Sebastian Amoruso (Solve), Fiona Rene (Stumptown), Cassie Beck (Connecting), Brooke Bloom (Homecoming) and Bill Heck (I’m Your Woman).
Other horror films turned into television series include Scream, The Grudge, Hannibal, Bates Motel, From Dust ‘Til Dawn, Ash Vs The Evil Dead, The Exorcist, Wolf Creek and Damien.
