The ever-growing list of streaming services has just expanded but this one’s free.
Plex has launched their ad-supported video-on-demand service giving subscribers access to such movies as Raging Bull, The Terminator, Ghost in the Shell, Battle Royale and Evil Dead.
The service is available in over 200 countries and will feature content from Lionsgate Studios, Legendary Studios, Metro Goldwyn Mayer and Warner Bros.
“Plex was born out of a passion for media and entertainment, and offering free ad-supported premium movies and TV shows is just the latest step in our mission to bring all your favorite content together in one place,” said Keith Valory, Plex CEO. “What started more than a decade ago as a passion project to make accessing media on connected devices easier has evolved into the most comprehensive streaming platform in the industry, used by millions of people around the world.”
Plex claims their service will have approximately one-third the number of ads shown on traditional television.
